Local Public Safety Commissioner to Visit Valhalla

The Valhalla community is invited to attend a special PTSA meeting at Valhalla Middle/High School on Oct. 16. It will host White Plains Public Safety Commissioner David Chong, who will speak with attendees about substance abuse and suicide.

White Plains Public Safety Commissioner, David Chong, will share information about substance abuse, teen suicide and parental responsibility during an upcoming meeting in Valhalla.

The Valhalla Middle/High School Parent-Teacher-Student Association invites Valhalla families to attend Commissioner Chong’s presentation on Oct. 16 at 7 p.m. in the school’s library. The goal is to share pertinent information with the community so that its members are knowledgeable about these vital topics.

Anticipated topics of discussion include vaping, prescription drugs and substance abuse, along with suicide and how adults can help their children throughout their teenage years. If time permits, Commissioner Chong will answer questions from attendees. Building principals will be in attendance to answer questions.
