Class of 2019 Becomes Newest VHS Graduates

A heartfelt congratulations to Valhalla High School’s seniors who recently became graduates of the Valhalla Union Free School District. We wish you success in the next chapter of your lives.

Overheard at Commencement:

“Whatever your talent may be, use this inspiration to hone and develop that talent. With the addition of some creativity, I have faith we can all make something of ourselves in a distinctive and original manner. There is no sense in settling for normalcy when you can be so much more interesting.” – Valedictorian John Crupi

“As we move our cap tassels over to the other side, we are dipping our metaphoric torch into the fire and getting a new flame in the game of life. No matter what path we choose to take after today, we are stepping into adulthood and will soon be on our own. No matter the hardships we face, we cannot give up. We cannot let our flame go out. Persevere and conquer. Keep that flame alive.” – Salutatorian Michael Rizzuto

“We are proud of you. Your accomplishments have driven you to dig deeper into your passions, ask questions about the unknown and become further determined to be independent, resolute and unique adults. Not only are we proud of you, but we are proud to have been part of your educational exploration. You let us join and guide you as you cultivated empathy, developed humility and generated respectful gratitude for those you encountered.” – Interim Superintendent Christina Howe
